In July, a friend from Innsbruck and me hiked up to Großer Bettelwurf (2726m). It is the highest peak of the Gleirsch-Halltal chain, the fourth highest peak of the Karwendel mountain range and towers 2000 meters above the Inntal.

In the nick of time for sunset we reached the summit, unpacked our camera equipment and started taking pictures of the setting sun. The next morning we were surprised by some pervading clouds, which created a very mystic atmosphere. Although the location provides incredibly beautiful views into the Karwendel it is hard to relax and think about compositions after the exertion of hiking up 2000 meters with a heavy backpack.
